Personally

I think it'd be better with a slower tempo, and if you changed the snare. It sound sounds a little too much like Robot Unicorn Attack right now haha. Theres a good airy pad in the background, but that glidey lead you used just sounds a little gay. Give it some bite with a distortion effect or something, itll make it sound more aggressive.

Also try to up the kick a little more, or at least a little sidechain, mostly all you hear is the hats and snare

OH for christs sake

Take the violin down an octave before my fucking ears bleed

Hi der you must be new.jpg

I'm not going to really get into specifics here, just, keep practicing and you'll learn on your own. This is a decent start if your new to this (FL Im guessing?)

Also I can hear the default snare and the arpeggio from a synth ive used. dont use premade arp's:P

zRiffz responds:

I actually didn't use any arps... That was like a simple note pattern... I noticed that it in fact did sound like an arp though...

tits n shit

Its a good idea its just a little tooooo far off from the original song. Get the melody of the vocals in there. I like the plucky guitar, reminds me of Wind Waker songs

BowserThedestructive responds:

Its meant to be far off from the orignal Mainly because i added my own touch to it diced notes 4/4 'ed some notes and made some totally different not to absurdly but still Its meant to be a chill version. I only added the "feel good" section from the a capella i found to it sense it fit with a bit of work has for vocals syncing i cannot do that Ill give it a try and upload a seperate version but has far has i know i cant sync them the midi and the orignal is different timings.. Plus the..well there different haha but ill try just for you ^.^

Wow

Amazingly well composed. Very nice and peaceful.

10/10, 5/5

That bass

Toooo much power in this song, its overwhelming and incredibly distorted. it just sounds like a really thick white noise.

RealityVictim responds:

Well in my opinion i partially agree, but mastering with the bass was kind've hard. I think for what i could do, i did the best i could with it. Thanks.

good ideas, not fond of the sound

FL Slayer with a phaser? haha, interesting

Is this all made in FL Studio?

RealityVictim responds:

Yes, and it's not just slayer. I used alot of different slayer guitars with tweaked sounds, not phased though. Lol thanks.

Vanguard:)

I effin love vanguard, great synth.

I can hear the poizone arpeggio in there too:D

Its a little too slow and empty though, and your kick sounds real cheezy

The Wobble

If your synth has an LFO option, that'd be the easiest way to give your bass a wobble. You should also crank the distortion a little more, it sounds flat and cheezy.

If you don't have an LFO option, you'll have to use an envelope. Start by changing the filer to LP (low pass) And then using a volume envelope that looks like a saw wave. There's hopefully a box you can check to sync the wave to the tempo, if not, you just have to sync manually.

You can actually make a great wobble bass with a 3xOSC. Just youtube it:)

If your going for dub, define the bass and snare a little more. The general idea is usually a slow, stretched out, glitchy and dirty song.

Hope this helped? :D
