CPILI

Clever. Peachy. I like it.

lol thanks

Decent. read my review dammit.

Well produced. however try not overproduce it; thats what seperates Sex Pistols from Green Day. Sex Pistols in my opinion sound better because their sound isnt totally clean and perfect. Green Day on the other hand is highly produced which makes their sound really crisp and clean. I just think it sounds better if you leave it a little more natural sounding.

The music is good i guess. However its definately leaning a lot towards the whole mainstream-alternative genre, which bugs me. Sounds a lot like Blink-182, who i hate. Its just the whineyness of their singer. Your singer is kind of doing that same thing. I guess its the overpronounconation of the words. I think it would sound significantly better if he slackened that up a bit. This is really all just opinion. But anyways my point is, why be just another mainstream band, instead of innovating up a bit?

The technical playing is good in this, it all works together and sounds energetic, sorta beachey and summery even. So as far as that goes its good. The endings kinda weak, but it still kinda works.

Good job with this song and I hope you guys end up big :]. Pardon the sort of incoherent randomness of my comment, its not really planned its more just brainflow. and a lot of what i said you may disagree with but... whatever. peace.

Wow

Wow dude you did an amazing job! i love this. Better than the original in my opinion. high energy and i love the synths your using. What are they anyway? are you using Fruityloops? Im jealous man haha. :D

Kreepman responds:

haha thanks!
I use FL Studio 8 XXL Producer Edition or something like that.
and as for the sounds I use Nexus and V-Station!

Thanks for your review! <3

Well Made :D

Nice job man. I like the alternating bass and lead beats you used. Also what program did you use? Im using FL Studio 8, mostly using Sytrus and i cant find any good synths. This one sounds damn good though

ONESTEPAHEAD responds:

thanks :D
and im also using fl studio 8, for most, if not all of my synths i use a plugin called nexus. (which as u can tell is my favorite 1 :D),and for drums, clashes, snare, etc i use vengeance club essientals 1 & 2 (sound sample packs) hope this helps ur hunt for better synths :D

Bad Sound

The distortion really didn't sound good. It sounded like it was just really, really bad sound quality. The piano part is sort of obnoxiously repetitive. Its like a goddamn loop for half the song. Change it up before my ears bleed.

culmor30 responds:

I respect your opinion

however

fuck you.

Blech!

Way tooooo long and boring, man! Cut the repitition that can be achieved with a loop. The second guitar is really annoying. Shake things up a bit man.

Nice little diddly

Nice little melody. However the arpeggios get a bit annoying. I like the beat in the background there.

Nicely Done!

Great song. I love the melody line. Erratic but great. I always love a high pitched and bouncy melody. Also those distorted hits sounded great.

Only thing I'd suggest is mix the drums up more, they were really repetitive.

PearlDrummer516 responds:

Yeah, the melody line took some time to make, but I finally found a balance. I felt like if I mixed the drums too much, it would take away from the song a bit. I also didn't know how to slice beats at the time this was made hahaha. Oh well, I think a remix is in order anyway. Thanks for the review man.

Well played, but kind of all over the place

It was kinda incongruous, just kinda jumpin around. Good sweep arpeggios in the middle though. What i dont like is the second lick, right after the bends, when you do the thirds, they dont sound right. Not bad overall though. Just try to keep it more fluent. Listen to Dethklok solos, their amazing and have sweeps n stuff. Hell, you could even take some of the sweep forms that they use and just mix it in.

DeatHTaX responds:

....mix in another band's music into one's own....

I'm sorry, but for that egregious suggestion, everything else you have mentioned is now void. And just what percentage of amazing guitar solos in history are simple, symmetrical, and with a distinguishable rhythm? The fact that a solo is somewhat incongruous to a song, or in and of itself, is what often MAKES it a guitar solo/<insert instrument here> solo. And the reason it doesn't sound like dethklok is because the style isn't reminiscent of Dethklok, tyvm. It more strongly follows a Black Label Society/Pantera feel, if anything.

Thank you
